Zlatan says bye to European Championship.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s dream of playing in another European Championships has gone up in smoke. The striker has told the Swedish national team that he will not be able to play in the Euros because of a knee injury he suffered against Juventus.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be at the Euros this summer, the Swedish FA have confirmed.

The news comes after the AC Milan player got in contact with Sweden coach Janne Andersson.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that the knee injury he suffered against Juventus will prevent him being available for selection. He has sprained his knee and will not be fit in time.

The Swedish national team have been keeping a very close eye on Ibrahimovic because he had to go off injured in the 66th minute.

It is another setback in what was being a great season for Ibrahimovic despite testing positive for coronavirus and picking up injuries. The footballer was looking forward to helping Sweden again at the age of 39 after scoring 17 goals in 27 games for AC Milan.
