The Bundesliga-winning coach says the Spaniard relied on his star man to win the Champions League and thinks Liverpool’s success is down to signings
Barcelona won two Champions Leagues under Pep Guardiola only because of Lionel Messi’s brilliance, according to former Bayern Munich boss Felix Magath.
The Catalans won their maiden treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League trophies in 2008-09, which was Guardiola’s first season in charge.

Guardiola, who left in 2012 after winning 14 major trophies, has been unable to win Europe’s top club competition since.
