Premier League footballers launch fund for NHS charities

Premier League players have launched a “collective initiative” to help generate funds for the National Health Service and distribute them “where they are needed most”.


Premier League footballers, facing pressure to accept wage cuts during the coronavirus outbreak, have launched a fund to raise money for National Health Service (NHS) charities to help tackle the coronavirus outbreak.

The initiative – named #PlayersTogether – has been set up to “help those fighting for us on the NHS frontline” amid the coronavirus pandemic.It has partnered with NHS Charities Together (NHSCT) which represents over 140 NHS charities, to “assist them in generating and distributing funds quickly and efficiently to where they are needed most.”
